There were two major reasons why I was interested in picking up a guitar.
The first was seeing “Back to the Future” and watching Marty McFly play “Johnny B. Goode”. The second was hearing “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits.
My dad is a huge fan of music and movies and showed me so much growing up and it led to me finding my passion in music. He was also bought me my first guitar and I can never thank him enough for being so supportive of me doing something in the arts whether it be acting or music.
I think he knew music was my calling but he let me figure that out myself. I went through a lot of different jobs trying to figure out whether I should actually just go for music fully or keep it a fun hobby.
When I met my girlfriend, Kaylie it all changed. She heard me play one time and told me “I think this is what you’re meant to do.” It took a few months of becoming immune to nerves and ridding myself of the fear of judgement from others but now I’m fully pursuing music and love every second of it.
It started with my EP “Four Walls” and I just released my single “I Don’t Care (at all)” and I have more music in the works that will be even better. I also play live music a few times a week in the Dunwoody area and I am expanding that as well.
There’s no better way to gauge how a new song will so than playing it live for others. I’m very excited for the songs to come later this year!
