JJ’s Own is a company based on hard work and perseverance … resilience….the American Dream! Recommends and we hope you take a moment and read more.

Joy “JJ” Ortiz Owner and Creator of this mouthwatering line of all natural Dressings and Marinades didn’t have anything handed to her, what she has earned she worked hard to obtain.  The obstacles that she overcame to be able to proudly say her products are in the number 1 market in the world are many. Obstacles that may have caused other to pack it in. Being told no, sending email after email without response, phone call after phone call and then one person took interest and the process of getting into Whole Foods began all to float away with a Super Storm that not only took her initial inventory, but her home. The storm took away the power, heat, hot water, and the security of having a warm bed to lay her head in at the end of the day.

After her home being gutted and months of repairs she and her family were finally able to move back in.  The goal of getting into Whole Foods was attained and her Dressings and marinades were on the shelves.

Being a small independently owned company there is no big factory producing these products each bottles is hand made one ingredient at a time by JJ herself. From production to labeling to packing, delivering, sampling she did and still does it all.

Fast Forward to today

JJ’s Own has now partnered with Cake Boss Buddy Valastro. The dressings and marinades are now produced at the Cake Boss facility. The line has increased to four amazing dressings and continues to grow. Soon the production will be done in a large factory to accommodate the demand but rest assured whether JJ is bottling it herself or overseeing it the quality and taste will never be compromised as she prides herself on customer satisfaction!
